The Out of the Darkness Overnight is a fundraising walk of 16-18 miles throughout the night, designed to raise funds and make a bold statement to bring the issue of suicide out into the light. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students, and one in twelve teenagers will attempt suicide this year. I am sure that all of us have had our lives touched by suicide or depression in some way or another. I myself have had family members and friends who deal with it every day. That is why I walk, but I need your help! As a student, in order to participate in this walk I only need to raise $700, but I'd like to reach at least $1000. That's why I'm asking, my friends, family, and fellow classmates to help me reach my goal!
