BENEFITING: OCEANIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY
EVENT DATE: Dec 19, 2014
Duncan and I have a passion for diving and have traveled the world enjoying this passion. We have had opportunities to dive with the super macro to large pelagics. We have swum through schooling sharks, done a fly bye with a hammerhead, squinted at pygmy seahorses and heard the echos of dolphins announcing their arrival. Each time we go back down and we marvel, we wonder what will be left for tomorrow. Unfortunately each time we go back to certain areas, the trash piles get bigger or your see more creatures being senselessly killed for their fins or flesh.
Oceanic Preservation Society works preserving marine biodiversity, reducing the human impact on cetacean populations, and giving a voice to endangered species. You have all seen the Cove - They made that!!
All money raised will go to this charity to help save our oceans for tomorrow. For all that know me, climbing Kilimanjaro is so far out of our comfort zones, it resides in another galaxy. Besides a sense of accomplishment, my motto that I will keep on reminding myself when I don't think I can take another step will be - I am climbing to the top of the world to save the bottom of our seas!
