I started running at 40 because I never knew I was strong until I became a mother. And because I know lots of other strong mothers -- you are probably one of them.
On Sunday, June 26, I will join hundreds of teammates to run the 2016 Boston Athletic Association 10K road race to support Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). I am running to raise money specifically for BWH's Stork Fund.
BWH is proud to welcome more than 8,000 precious, beautiful babies each year. The Stork Fund supports patient care, research, and programs that advance our work in obstetrics, maternal/fetal medicine, pre- and post-natal care, high risk pregnancy, newborn medicine, gynecology, in vitro fertilization, birth equity, and the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. BWH is committed to the health of both mother and baby before, during, and after pregnancy.
My fundraising goal is $500. Any contribution, no matter how small, helps tremendously.
