Happy March my friends! Well, it’s me again, trying to do my part to support the charity that is nearest and dearest to my heart (and hopefully to most of yours after my 16 years of talking about it :) ). Mercy Home for Boys & Girls has a month long campaign to raise awareness about the services and supports it offers to hurting youth in Chicago called March for Kids! It is the month where we are in many parades, in the newspapers, on the radios, and when we have thousands of folks on the streets asking those in their community to support the work we do. It is a beautiful thing, actually, to watch so many join forces for this wonderful cause. As I’ve told you all so many times in the past, giving to Mercy Home should be a no brainer…I mean you have me here every day making sure that your money is being prudently put to use to effectively change lives, and it does! I wish you could all come here for just a few days and see the selfless people that work here and see the kids’ lives that are transformed. It is simply amazing…God’s work in action for sure!
Anyway, in the event someone hasn’t already come up to you with a green can collecting for Mercy Home, could you please donate through my fundraising page by hitting the donate button? This year, we are actually having a contest, and yes, I’d like to win. There is no prize, but I just want everyone here to know that I have THE BEST friends and family of all! You don’t have to give much…anything at all is appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of my shamrock heart.
