Cheryl's Angels is a foundation dedicated to improving the life of people with Sickle Cell Disease. In the US Sickle Cell Disease affects 90,000 to 100,000 people-mainly Blacks or African Americans. Cheryl's Angels seeks to provide therapeutic resources to children and adults suffering from sickle cell disease. To provide funding for sickle cell research, to find better and more effective pain crisis therapy, and a cure. Educate individuals who have sickle cell disease how to properly and most effectively manage their pain. Provide information and resources on doctors and insurance benefit available. Also educate the public about sickle cell disease. Provide counseling to individuals with sickle cell disease and families who currently have a member with sickle cell disease. To provide assistance to individuals who cannot afford medication to manage their sickle cell disease. Offer testing for the sickle cell trait.
