Chicago Marathon : Henry Schueler 41&9 Foundation
Organized by: Erica Acosta
Fundraiser Event - September 10
August 20, 2016
Event Name: 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon
EVENT DATE Oct 09, 2016
The Henry Schueler 41&9 foundation works to advance research in pediatric leukemia and fungal infections. Henry Schueler's life ended all too soon in December of 2007. As a classmate and friend, Henry taught me how to laugh and stay positive through the good times and bad. Throughout high school, college, and now as I tackle the realities of "adulting," Henry's infectious smile and welcome sarcasm have never left my side. I know that I speak on behalf of the Saint Mary of the Woods and Edgebrook/Wildwood community when I say that by the young age of 14 Henry made more of an impact on people than many do in their lifetime. Running 26.2 miles through the streets of Chicago in October is the very least I can do to allow Henry's name to carry out research in pediatric leukemia and fungal infections.
Please take the time to visit http://henryschueler.org and learn more about Henry's story and what his family and community has done to raise awareness in his name. I promise I won't make anyone run with me BUT I will be persistent in asking that you help support this cause as pediatric cancer and disease continue impact the lives of children and their families.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
