Chicago Adventure Therapy (CAT) works to help under-served youth in Chicago have a lasting positive impact on their communities and become healthy adults by teaching effective social skills, increasing participants’ sense of possibility, and fostering a sense of empowerment and personal responsibility.
Don't take our word for it, hear it directly from our participants:
“How long was our group, like 2 months, 3 months, and like that’s a fast time to trust someone, but like, the relationship we had, it was like, you gonna want to trust that person. So, I thought I had gained another family with this group.”
“Because I never used to be, um, a person big in like, helping people and pushing people to do, like, go further than they actually do. So…I think, that’s a lesson I learned, that if people do it for me, I should do it for them. So I think that’s a lesson I learned, and it was a good one.”
