BENEFITING: Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation
This marks the ten year anniversary in which Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS) was identified. Initially, prognosis for individuals with LDS was grim and not very hopeful however, many advances and recent research indicate that more and more patients are in fact living full lives with the proper monitoring and care management. The Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation was founded in 2007 and has helped families impacted by LDS in numerous ways. Its mission and purpose is to promote awareness to individuals affected by LDS, to medical professionals caring for patients with LDS, and to the surrounding communities in the hopes of properly identifying, diagnosing, and treating this condition. Quite simply, The Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation provides HOPE to families affected by this rare genetic disorder. Because this foundation has done so much for us, we are choosing to partake in a “Move Your Feet for Loeys-Dietz” 5K run/walk (Pumpkins in the Park 5K 2015) on Saturday October 24th in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood. We invite you to show your support for some of the bravest little champs we know and to cheer them on as they walk this long hard journey with LDS. If possible, we are asking that you make a donation of any kind to The Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation via this link to help them continue to give HOPE to individuals affected by LDS and to their families. 100% your donation will go to the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation in Baltimore Maryland. We thank you in advance for playing such a pivotal role in our lives and for helping to continue to support us. We also would like to thank you for helping to support a foundation that we have turned to and will continue to turn to for answers, support, and best of all for HOPE.
