After going through tremendous amounts of pain to finish the NYC marathon last year, fighting what you think are needles piercing your leg muscles for hours, you keep telling yourself that it's the last time ever you want do a marathon!! But once the race finished, all you remember was the amazing spirit of all the racers and more notably all the supporters, it just seemed like it was one giant party that finished with a memorable accomplishment! And then you think you should do it again ...
Finding the motivation to train each week is difficult, but there is no better way to find it than running for a good cause and help bring funds to an association that is there to help others. I think this is a great way and a great opportunity for all of us to help, and I hope you can all donate to support the MS Society this year. This organization helps provide financial support and care to people affected by multiple sclerosis and they also fund research to find a cure to this terrible disease. This year I will be running the Chicago Marathon, so a bit of a change from the NYC marathon last year, and I hope I will find the energy and the strengh to beat last year's surprising finish time of 3hours45min, a miracle!
I hope you can also help the MS society make miracles, anything you can contribute to help them will make a difference!
Thanks for all your support!
