My name is Robert Tudisco and I am the Executive Director of The Edge Foundation. I run as an important part of a multi-modal way to manage my ADHD. My running is as important to managing my ADHD as the medication I take. There is much research to show the benefit that exercise has on brain function and specifically ADHD. Each year I run a full marathon and use that as a vehicle to raise awareness and funding for a charity.
When I became the Executive Director of the Edge Foundation I wanted to integrate my running with Edge's mission using this year's race to raise awareness about Edge's Mission. Neil Peterson, Edge's Founder and CEO and I developed the idea for Team Edge as a way to raise awareness about Edge's mission and to raise funding to support students with ADHD. This year I will be running the Chicago Marathon on October 7, 2012 for Team Edge and am asking all my friends and colleagues to run with me, or to support my efforts by making a donation that will make a huge difference in the life of a student with ADHD.
If you know of anyone that is participating in any event such as a race, walk, bicycling event or other similar event and wants to add purpose to their training, please contact me at email@example.com
