Once again, we will lace up our walking shoes and unite in our determination to end the vicious tyranny that is breast cancer. We will walk in the names of our grandmothers, our mothers and our sisters; we will walk—resolved--to create a brighter future for our daughters, our granddaughters, and for all the many generations that will follow. We will not allow the cruel vagaries of chance and genetics to determine the destinies of those we love. More determined than ever, we will stand up to fate; we will make a difference.
Ours will be a legacy of love and hope.
This year all proceeds will be dedicated to hereditary breast cancer research. We will support those brilliant minds at City of Hope that passionately search for answers, that tirelessly seek to unravel the mysteries of genetic cancers. We will help break the chain that passes breast cancer from generation to generation. We will stand up. We will make a difference.
So come join us for an old fashioned walk in the park. Sunday, October 5, 201, 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Sunset Woods Park, -1801 Sunset Road, Highland Park, Il. There is no registration fee but we are asking that each adult make a minimum $25 gift and each child make a minimum $15 gift. But most of all we are asking you to . . .
Stand Up. Make a difference.
