BENEFITING: ANGELS OF AMERICAS FALLEN
ORGANIZER: ANGELS OF AMERICAS FALLEN
EVENT DATE: Nov 14, 2014
Hey Everyone! I'm so glad that I have the chance to skate again! 5 years in a row, woohoo! I'm trying to raise $2,000 this year for Angels of America's Fallen, another local non-profit helping out families who have lost loved ones to the service of their country and community.
I love Chick-fil-A, you already know that. I love this particular Chick-fil-A as well, because they have an awesome team and amazing events year-round. I also love to do my very best to raise funds for these charities.
I'm upping my goal this year, even though I've got limited time to raise it. Last year I was blessed to be able to raise over $1,300 for the Dream Centers of Colorado Springs. This year I'm trying to raise $2,000 for Angels of America's Fallen.
Every little bit helps! I'm going to throw this out there too - the first $100 that gets donated, I will personally match it. I'd like to see this take off!
I am also taking suggestions! There's a costume contest as well, you can see what I wore last year in my profile photo. I will seriously consider all suggestions (should higher donations get considered first? :P)
Let me know if you've got any questions about the skate-a-thon or the charity, I'd love to tell you more!

Children of our fallen military and first responders have to grow up without their biggest mentor during their crucial developmental years. Funds raised from the Chick-fil-A First 100 Skate-A-Thon will help provide them healthy activities and mentoring as they grow into adults.
Participants will raise funds and then skate from 10:30 pm until 6:00 am around the Garden of The Gods Chick-fil-A location. The more money each person raises, the longer breaks they will get during their all night skate-a-thon around the parking lot, AND they can recieve great prizes. Participants who complete the whole night will receive free Chick-fil-A food for a year!
Funds raised will go to Angels of America's Fallen (AOAFallen) to provide healthy activities for children of our fallen so they can pursue a passion of their choice with a coach or instructor who can mentor them. When AOAFallen provides the activities to the children, they commit to sticking with them from the time they sign up all the way until they are 18 years old. Because the children's parent volunteered to serve, and gave all while doing so, they deserve support throughout the entire time they are growing up without them. You can have a very positive impact on the life of a child who's sacrifice without their parent is ongoing.
