BENEFITING: Path Ministries International
Help us create a sustainable chicken and egg farming project for 300+ orphans at Otino Waa Children's Village in northern Uganda!
We have three goals for this project:
- Dietary Needs: Increase the children’s weekly protein intake and improve their diet through eggs and meat.
- Vocational Training: Provide hands-on experience in chicken farming from the incubator to the market.
- Sustainability: Once the needs of Otino Waa are met, the surplus will be sold. Profits will be reinvested back into the program.
We have a dollar-for-dollar matching grant for up to $12,500 - so each dollar that you give is like giving two!
Funding is needed to build two barns, purchase the first 500 hens, chicken feed, inoculations for the birds, and purchase a grist mill to grind our own chicken feed and cut back on operating costs.
Subsistence farming is the primary livelihood in northern Uganda, especially in the remote regions where the Otino Waa children are from. This sustainable chicken farm will not only benefit the children now, but it will equip them with skills that will serve them throughout their life.
