BENEFITING: Children Of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, Inc.
Our organization is working daily to assist our U.S. military service connected fallen and/or disabled veterans and their families through hardships they face after losing their loved one or after their loved one is unable to provide financially as they once did prior to their disability. This assistance includes emotional, educational and financial support. Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, Inc. (CFSRF) has Surviving College Grant and Financial Assistance programs, a Severely Disabled College Grant and Financial Assistance programs, an Adopt-A-Family program, a Veteran’s Morale Boosting program and our most recent Children Enrichment Program. We are a very small not for profit that was started in October 2003 solely for helping surviving/gold star children with educational scholarships that were affected by the loss of a parent/parents who were killed in action while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. As these conflicts continued we soon learned of the financial hardships these children and widows were going through as many were experiencing potential loss of housing with evictions, inability to maintain their mortgage payments, loss of utilities, food and clothing needs, escalating medical and dental expenses, and other financial crises that are necessary to maintain the home stability. We have assisted over 700 children who suffered the loss of a parent or parents and many of these same children remain in our program today. We build bonds that last from childhood up to and through their graduation from High School and College. Many of our students and families remain in contact with our staff well after their family received our assistance which is a testimony to the emotional support we provide.
