There are an estimated 20,000 Bolivian children who are currently living in residential care. Over the past 10 years, Niños con Valor (NCV) has created a family environment for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or rescued from high-risk situations. Currently, we are providing care to over 40 children and teens. More than half of our children are living with developmental, physical, medical special needs. While many agencies are doing good work, NCV focuses on a holistic approach including good nutrition, addressing medical needs, spiritual direction, emotional wellness, education and empowerment. We also help our teens prepare for the transition to adulthood. Starting when they turn 12-years-old this process begins and continues in support up to the age of 18. Through scholarships, the transitional home allows them to pursue their own pathway post-secondary education. In our first major campaign to bring awareness to the overwhelming reality of vulnerable children in Bolivia, we ask for you to join us in caring for and making an impact in the lives of the children in NCV’s care. Your support will go towards ensuring these children receive quality, family-style care, and will help us replicate our model through collaboration with other agencies in Cochabamba. We end our campaign on April 12, which is Children's Day in Bolivia. Every life is valuable; by helping one child, we not only help them, but all the lives she/he will impact now and in the future.
