Children’s Body-Image Foundation believes that all children should feel good about themselves. We are advocates for all children. We strive to help children build self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-acceptance by raising body image awareness and helping to educate the public.  CBIF hosts two programs - Follow Me! Healthy Parents, Healthy Kids (fighting childhood obesity with families) and AngelWorks (financial assistance).

Follow Me! Healthy Parents, Healthy Kids (Childhood Obesity)
Follow Me!'s mission is to aide in the fight against childhood obesity by educating parents about the importance of setting a positive example with fitness, diet and nutrition and families about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.  We provide year round free programming and events that focus on educucating parents and families about health, wellness, diet, nutrition and exercise in a fun interactive environment.  Our last event 2nd Annual Fun Fit Family Day on June 11th, 2011 had over 8,000 people in attendance.  Follow Me! is partnered with Commit to be Fit/10tv, Clear Channel, Dispatch, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus Crew, Columbus Clippers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Parks & Recreation and Easton Town Center.  Our goal is to build a family fitness studio and kitchen that will provide low income families free classes year round that include exercise, cooking, nutrition and container gardening.

AngelWorks (Financial Assistance)
CBIF highlights the fact that certain medical conditions and traumas can also have a negative effect on a child’s sense of self, both physical and or psychological. Some of the conditions we serve are: clubfeet, pediatric cancers, alopecia (hair loss), amputation, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and other related conditions.  Allied healthcare services needs vary and include such services as: professional counseling, braces/supportive devices (durable medical equipment/DME), physical therapy rehabilitation, prosthetics, and other related services. AngelWorks also provides financial assistane to families who are dealing with a life threatening illness by helping pay for medical bills, perscriptions, utility bills, food, holiday presents, basic needs and more.
