The mission of the Children’s Law Center is to protect poor children in family court by providing high quality legal services and advocating for policies that advance the well being and protect the best interests of children. Through its work representing children, the organization seeks to achieve the most stable, safe, and beneficial home arrangement for those who are involved in a family crisis such as divorce, custody battles and other chronic conflicts.
We served over 2,000 people in 2014:
- 616 impoverished children in our Legal Representation Program
- 1,381 children served by our Children’s Law Line
- 51 families involving 76 children in our Families in Transition Program
