BENEFITING: IDAHO DISABILITY DEFENSE AND EDUCATION FUND
Kids like Hoffman, seen in our video, need our help. In Idaho, a complicated and unwieldy network of care programs leaves children with mental health needs and intellectual disabilities struggling to find the services they need. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has taken on the job of helping these kids, has taken our tax dollars with a promise to help, but is instead throwing up obstacles to keep these kids from achieving mental and emotional health. We can change this, but we need the resources to hire the kind of skilled advocates and attorneys who can make a difference. IDDEF is a 501(c)(3) with nearly no overhead, that exists solely to advocate for the needs of Idaho's disabled citizens. We need your help to turn a state bureaucracy back into a health program.
