BENEFITING: CHILDS HOPE MINISTRY
Twenty-seven years ago, our parents, Henry and Geline Lim, built a school for impoverished children. The school, named Child's Hope, has since helped more than 1,400 children. We, Ed Lim, Patricia Lim, and Mari Lim Jones, are taking initiative in this special time of need to reach out to you for help.

In the Philippines, a large percentage of impoverished children drop out of school, many as early as the 4th grade, because the children and their parents have lost hope that an education could make any difference towards escaping their state of poverty. Child's Hope Ministry provides a free preschool education for the neediest children in Antipolo. This loving, family-oriented head-start program includes free learning materials, medical attention, and parent education. Its goal is to create motivated, life-long learners who understand that education is the way to break the cycle of poverty. Drop-out rates among its alumni have been close to nil, with a significant number of alumni completing college degrees.
While its operating costs amount to only $112 per child for an entire year, recent events have created a sudden need for additional funding assistance. Heavy rains have caused the retaining wall that supports the hillside property to collapse into the highway, posing a threat to the building's foundation. The emergency construction to save the building, reconstruct the hillside, and rebuild the retaining wall may cost as much as $35,000. Since Child's Hope relies solely on donations to cover operating costs, they do not have the capacity to cover this amount. They need your help!
Child’s Hope Ministry has absolutely zero administrative costs as it is operated entirely by volunteers. The teachers are the only paid staff. Your contribution will have a direct impact on many lives.
