The Chill Foundation wiggled its way into my heart early on when I began as a volunteer almost 5 years ago, and since then have been fortunate enough to have been an assistant coordinator, and now a part of the board committee for the DC/Baltimore Chapter. This is a truly remarkable program, I've seen how it works, and I've seen how it benefits so many kids. Snowboarding is difficult and quite painful to learn, but in six-weeks I see the participants transform right in front of me. I watch as they overcome their frustrations, and adapt that energy into perseverance. They gain the confidence and determination to stand up on that board, make those turns and get down that mountain....and they do just that. It's impressive, inspiring, and important. The program does not just end after the six-weeks is up, it continues as the participants continue to reflect upon their positive experiences . The Chill Foundation wants to continue to be able to provide opportunities to as many underserved kids as possible. We cannot provide everything necessary without the help of others, so we are grateful for any amount...Thank You.
