THE STORY:

Dear Family, Friends & Colleagues:

On September 20, 2015 I will join thousands of others to help end the devastating effects of Epilepsy by walking in the 4th Annual “Into The Light” Walk for Epilepsy around South Street Seaport.

By making a donation on my behalf, thru The Mount Sinai Hospital, you will help support many New Research Programs, New Therapies & Medications as well as Clinical Trials & Studies to those affected with this unpredictable condition.

Epilepsy is a condition that affects the central nervous system which then bring along Epileptic Seizures making even simple everyday living skills become increasingly difficult.  The seizures may be related to a brain injury or a family tendency, but most of the time the cause is unknown…

Your donation of any amount will go a long way in helping support this condition:

65 MILLION: Number of people around the world who have epilepsy.

OVER 2 MILLION: Number of people in the United States who have epilepsy.

1 IN 26 people in the United States will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime.

150,000: Number of new cases of epilepsy in the United States each year

ONE-THIRD: Number of people with epilepsy who live with uncontrollable seizures because no available treatment works for them.

6 OUT OF 10: Number of people with epilepsy where the cause is unknown.

Thank You - JB
