I'm proud to join Team CKF for my sixth Leadville Trail 100 MTB Race on August 13, 2016. We've got a great group of riders dedicated to helping raise awareness of the need for organ donors and helping to raise funds for Chris Klug Foundation to continue the mission of advocating for organ donation and helping those touched by transplantation.
On July 28, 2016 I will celebrate sixteen years since my life-saving liver transplant. I'm happy to still be here. I'm committed to showing the world what is possible after a transplant. The Leadville Trail 100 is a gruelling test. I'm excited to go for it again. Thank you for supporting our team and helping us continue or work of eliminating the wait for the 123,000 people on waiting lists today across our contry. I was on a waiting list for nearly six year in the mid and late 90's. It's a scary place to be as you hope and pray for a second chance. Together we can help those in need of a second change at life.
I'm proud to say that all of my involvement with CKF as chairman and founder is strictly volunteer; it's truly a labor of love and a priveledge to help represent our amazing board and the transplant community as we spread the donation message. If you're not a registered organ donor please take a minute to register today at www.chrisklugfoundation.org with your respective state registry. Thank you for your help and support.
