Hi everyone –
Believe it or not I am just about to enter my senior year at Bergen Catholic High School. Each year we are required to participate in a year-long Christian Service Project. Part of this project includes active participation in community service and fund raising activities. As part of my senior year project, I have decided to enter the Bergen Bike Tour http://www.bergenbiketour.org on September 30, and plan to ride 50 miles with hopes to raise some money for a few great causes. The Bergen Bike Tour annually raises funds for two outstanding local organizations: Tomorrows Children’s Fund http://www.atcfkid.com and the Volunteer Center of Bergen County http://www.bergenvolunteers.org .
The Tomorrows Children’s Fund http://www.atcfkid.com was founded by a group of committed parents to help their children and other like them with cancer and serious blood disorders. The Don Imus – WFAN Pediatric Center for Tomorrows Children at Hackensack University Medical Center was built with help from the Tomorrows Children’s Fund, WFAN, Don Imus and other donations.
The Volunteer Center of Bergen County http://www.bergenvolunteers.org strengthens the community by connecting people with opportunities to serve, and is an affiliate member of the Points of Light Institute and HandsOn Network, whose mission is to inspire, mobilize and equip people to take action that can change the world.
Thank you in advance for supporting my effort and these great charities,
