Granger Smith's Fundraiser:

Chris Smith

THE STORY:

Granger's mentor, hero and Dad was an integral part of the first 3 years of the 100 Mile Bootwalk.  He was a driving force and reason for Granger to keep his boots on the ground.

For this reason, we felt it appropriate to set up in his name, a team for the 4th Annual Bootwalk.  Although this year he won't be present to hand out water bottles, pick up walkers, shuttle teams to lunches and any of the other tireless operations he administered over the years of Bootwalk, his presence will be strongly felt.

A man of such faith, integrity, passion and loyalty is the embodiment of Bootwalk's creation.  He has now joined the countless soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifce for our very way of life.  This is the reason we walk.

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.” ― Theodore Roosevelt 4 years ago
