Christian HELP has connected over 97,000 people with jobs, given away over 11 million pounds of food, provide over $27 million in services, and saved taxpayers over $235 million. We have been recognized by the Manhattan Institute as one of the top 10 social entrepreneurial programs in 2004, as a Model Faith based program for the White House in 2003, and most recently in 2011 as one of two Neighborhood Builder’s for Bank of America’s Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. It has been said, getting someone a job is the best social program available.
Annually, Christian HELP has served over 13,000 cases over the past 2 years plus their families. This is a substantial increase since 2007 (pre-recession) when we served 6700 cases. Over 75% of the clients served are considered low income according to the federal poverty guidelines. Demographics are mixed.
