Stuff About Me:

04/03/11 Distributing the supplies.

Local churches helping.

04/02/11 Frankiyn Graham visits Japan.

Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham spent two days in Japan, viewing areas devastated by the earthquake and tsunami, meeting with church partners in Sendai and Tokyo, and working with our staff as we continue to provide emergency relief supplies and other aid to victims of the disaster.

Graham expressed his sympathy for the people of Japan, and pledged to continue to give aid in the Name of Christ.

“It breaks my heart to see people suffer this way,” he said. “None of us understand why these things happen, but we know that God loves the people of Japan. This is an opportunity for us as Christians to go beyond the church walls and demonstrate the love of Christ. God can use something like this to further His Kingdom in ways we don’t see or understand now.”

Deviding the supplies:

Update: 03/23/2011 Japanese Congressman Ryuichi Doi became emotional as he walked the streets of Sendai for the first time since the tsunami waves devastated the city. There was so much damage, so much destruction. So many people lost their lives. So many people don’t know where to turn for help. Video :

See relief supplies being delivered to the people.

Update: The supplies are being shiped by the US Airforce in C-17 aircraft.

Update: The Plane lands in Japan. How to reach the needed area?

Update: The Plane is in the air. What does 93 tons of supplies look like?

Days after the earthquake, millions are forced to go without basics including power, food and fuel while the chilly temperatures drop further.

The official death toll was raised to 7,000 yesterday, and some 434,000 people were being housed in temporary shelters, often sleeping on the floor of school gymnasiums.

On the day of the quake and tsunami school children waited in vain for parents to pick them up at school. Many had parents washed away, burried, and killed by the seas.

Yes, Japan is one of the world's top ecconomies; however, disasters as these take intervention by all the wolrd to begin to rebuild lives.

Only time, resources, and volunteers can heal the hearts of the Japanees. Would you consider parternering with The Christian Worker to raise money for the relief efforts?

Jesus told His deciples to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Would you want help if it were you in Chrisis?

In addition, it is Japan today can it be your town, your country, and your family in need in the future? How we help Japan today strengthens people to help others in the future.

Lod Bless you all.
