Christmas with Ssi Bukunja Fishing Community, Uganda
Organized by: Doreen Lwanga
Dear friends, Please join me, This Christmas with Ssi Bukunka Fishing Community in Uganda, East Africa. Every year, for the last four years, my son and I run a fundraiser to benefit indigent and worthy community, a family or individuals in Uganda. In the past, we have fundraised for: a children orphanage; after-school program for war children; scholarship for Early Childhood Education; teenage mothers; indigent new parents families; and farming community. This year's benefit is in partnership with the African Social and Development Health Initiative (ASDHI), a Uganda non-profit organization that I have worked with for three years now. ASDHI was founded and run by natives of Buikwe district, where Ssi Bukunja is located, and works on health and livelihoods, particularly with orphans and vulnerable children, widows, grandmothers, fishermen and fisheries workers. To learn more about ASDHI, please click on this link www.asdhi.org ASDHI's work has been recognized within the community, district, national and internationally through partnerships and funding. We are always looking for innovative ways to engage and broaden our social networks. It is not to late to give to Christmas, as celebrations in Uganda go on until the beginning of the next year. Our goal is to raise $2,000 for a Christmas fete, and long-term needs like gardening tools, household items, children scholastic material, feminine needs, play toys for kids and farming input. You can give $10, $20, $25, $30, $50, $100 $200, $500, in between or more. If you feel like giving to support ASDHI's general activities, please use the link, and indicate to us. Thank you so much for your support! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
