He has experience in many business sectors including higher education, healthcare, banking, and a broad range of technology related fields. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Northside Neighborhood House. He served on the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga Board of Directors as well as being a founding member of Chattanooga Friends. He has been on a team for Jack’s Chattanoggins for the past two years, along with his family, shaving his head to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital oncology unit, who supports local families suffering with pediatric cancer.
Welch's story of his family’s premature twins has been featured locally, and they continue to speak on behalf of Chattanooga area non-profit agencies. The Welch family has been heavily involved with many area groups because of their experience with being supported by local nonprofits during their stay at Erlanger’s NICU. Welch has been married for 15 years to his wife Rachael, and has three children, Eli, (age 11) and twins Zeke and Emmie (age7).
Why I am excited about getting dunked:
Watching this event grow over the last few years has been awesome. It proves that people can have a blast while helping out amazing organizations in this area. Everyone has a mix of their time, talent or treasures to give. Why not do it in a way that engages others at the same time? I love all of the organizations represented this year at DUNKED and am actively involved in some way at every one of the. I am excited about a new avenue to show my support.
