THE STORY:

I am certified by the state of Washington as a science teacher and I am currently working in a bilingual (Spanish/English) school in Ciempozuelos, Spain (a suburb of Madrid).

As the culmination of our unit on Climate Change and Global Warming, I have been talking with my students about the beneficial impact recycling can have on these major issues. They are totally stoked about starting a recycling program at the school, but seeing as we're still using chalkboards and have no technology in the classrooms, funding is obviously more than a bit limited. I would hate to see their good ideas go to waste simply because we cannot afford any recycling bins! Granted, we can easily use cardboard boxes from the cafeteria for mixed paper collection, but we need to have backup funds available in order to have long-term recycling pickup at the school. If we can't pay the truck to come, the amount of recycling our students put into the cardboard boxes will only halfway be helpful. Know what I'm saying?

Although, the goal for this project is set for $500, any amount will be much appreciated! Gracias por su ayuda!
