Sierra Cycle Challenge benefiting Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra is July 23rd – 25th.
This is a great event where all the funds raised goes to Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra. These funds allow us to put on events for the Wounded Warriors, Children and adults with disabilities. DSES has programs throughout the year including a winter and summer Wounded Warrior event. Winter camps include downhill and cross country skiing, and sledding. Summer programs include biking, kayaking, paddle boarding fly fishing and rock climbing. I will be doing the summer Wounded Warrior Event this summer. Last summer we had 30 participants from all over. We had active duty, vets from this war all the way to the Korean war. What an honor itis to help all our other wounded warriors. We could not do this without your help. Your are all awesome and any amount will help. Please help me support this group of wonderful people.
As some of you know I have 2 boys with disabilities. This program has helped change their lives. It has given them confidenc they might not have had to conquer not only athletic but oter adventure such as Drama, art and working on becoming Eagle Scouts.
Riders will conquer a 3-day ride circumnavigating the Glass Mountains for a worthy cause! We’ll ride 170 miles of varied terrain, over 8,000 feet of climbing, temperature drops in the mountains and temperature spikes in the desert, blazing sun, wind, and dust devils, proving, "If I can do this, I can do anything!"
Each rider raises a minimum of $1,500 for Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra and our goal is to reach $40,000! All the money we raise goes directly to the program and allows more people to enjoy the exhiliration of outdoor recreation!
