Dear Rory's Peanut Pup Commu…
Dear Rory's Peanut Pup Community:

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that we did not keep Sport, the dog that had been trained to protect Rory from peanut anaphylaxis. The evening I was given Sport I had him evaluated by an independent professional trainer and he failed. It seems the dog was trained to perform in a set of controlled circumstances but cannot be trusted to protect Rory's life. We are devastated. Rory was crushed. I returned the dog to Angel Service Dogs that night and we must arbitrate for the return of your donations.

If you donated in the last month of the fundraiser (which 1/3 of all donations came in August), Angel Service Dogs is not in possession of your money. It is with the Crowdrise payment processor and we are in process of getting it re-routed to a charity that will write Rory a grant for an authentic allergy service dog. It has been a lengthy, complicated process.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We are outraged that the Colorado Attorney General already knew about this fraudulent charity but did not investigate them in 2014-2015. They allegedly said it is because there have not been enough complaints filed for them to dedicate resources to investigating. I have two favors to ask of you.

1. File a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General asking for the refund of your donation. In the form the name of the company is Angel Service Dogs and their address is 3815 Highview Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80908. The phone is 719-510-7864 and the owners name is Sherry Mers. Your complaint should be that Sherry is selling untrained fraudulent service dogs that endanger children's lives.

2. Please leave a comment to Sherry on the video of the interview I gave to CBS that ran on Monday night. You will need to log in with Facebook, Twitter, or Discus to leave a comment.

Thank you all so much. I am not giving up hope that Rory will get a peanut pup in 2016. You will be the first to know.
