BENEFITING: CIRCLE OF SISTERHOOD FOUNDATION INC
Circle of Sisterhood leverages the influence of sorority women to remove barriers to education for girls and women worldwide. We, as sorority women at the University of Delaware who understand the value of education, are working with Circle of Sisterhood to raise awareness about the global issues affecting women, such as gender-based violence, sex trafficking, and gendercide and to raise money to bring educational opportunities to girls and women to help alleviate these issues. Each year our campus hosts a Panhellenic Pride Week to recognize and celebrate our sorority community. During this week, there is a large fundraising effort for Circle of Sisterhood to further emphasize the powerful influence sorority women can have on the world. This year we are kicking off our fundraising efforts a week early with our "I Give for the Girls Campaign." Our sorority has one week from October 3rd to October 7th to raise as much money as possible for Circle of Sisterhood while competing with the other sororities on campus. Raising the most money would not only be a great way to start off Panhellenic Pride Week, but would also mean a lot to our chapter to be able to make that kind of contribution to Circle of Sisterhood. $53 sends a girl to school for one year with everything she needs, including lunch, which may be the only good meal she receives, so every penny really does count. We appreciate any donation that you can make to our cause! If you would like more information on Circle of Sisterhood, you can find it at www.circleofsisterhood.org.
