BENEFITING: CIRCLE OF SISTERHOOD FOUNDATION INC
Circle of Sisterhood Foundation, founded by WKU alumna Ginny Carroll, is an organization with the goal of breaking down educational barriers for women and girls living in poverty by providing grants and building schools (see more at circleofsisterhood.org).
Only 7% of the world has a college education - and by educating more women, we have the power to change the world. Educated women earn 25% more income and when women earn an income, they reinvest 90% into their families to break the cycle of poverty.
Now there is an opportunity for all sorority women, regardless of affiliation, to come together as a powerful force to provide opportunities for women and girls worldwide. Sorority women are fortunate to have the one thing that will help most women out of poverty—an education. As such, we have a responsibility to those less fortunate.
