BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
Hello Everyone! Middlesex School has recently initiated a new club on campus, called Campuses Against Cancer. Under the leadership of Juniors Sophie MacKeigan and Caroline Silk, the club has about 25 regular members and 2 committed faculty advisors, and was founded in January 2017. We meet once weekly to discuss cancer's impacts on our community, as well as develop ideas to raise money for the American Cancer Society. On May 6th, 2017, Campuses Against Cancer (or CAC) will be holding a memorial walk called Circle Up Against Cancer from 9pm-12am. We will be selling and giving out different colored wristbands to represent support for different types of cancer. In addition, we will be selling paper lantern bags to decorate our school oval with so we can illuminate campus as we walk. On the night of the event, we will be selling treats and grilled food, playing music, and empowering the community to walk for a cause that expands far beyond the gates of our community, while also touching the hearts of many Middlesex students and faculty. While this event is only open to the Middlesex community, the members of the club felt it appropriate to expand our net of potential donors to family, friends, Middlesex alumni, and peers who would like to help fund Middlesex's Campuses Against Cancer Club. All the proceeds from this page will go directly to the American Cancer Society, as well as the profits from out t-shirt and grilled food sales on the night of the event. We appreciate any and all support we can receive and thank you all in advance for your donations and continued support of our organization.
