Welcome to Citizen of the World – home of change-makers & ambassadors of planet earth. We are a growing network that collaborate to develop local solutions to global problems.
Please help donate for an upcoming programme in Mutoko, Zimbabwe with 30 local youth teaching self-sufficiency, environmentally friendly ways to grow their own food and engage in cultural exchange with Germany and St. Louis, MO. We will also be working in an under resourced preschool and setting up opportunities for future volunteers.
In all of our work we strive to promote environmental justice, self-sufficiency and the realization of our rights as humans. Citizen of the World serves as a framework for specialized projects – including CitiZen Gardens and Global eXchange. The work of each project crosses over fluidly into the others, much like how people and ideas cross political borders. The Global eXchange Programme believes that everyone should have free access to share and learn the culture, skills and knowledge of others, regardless of where they are from. CitiZen Gardens is a collaboration of guerrilla gardeners, horticulturalists and traditional farmers. Through teaching environmental friendly methods of permaculture and seed-saving, this project focuses on food security and self-sufficiency.
To date, Citizen of the World and its partner projects have carried out or are currently operating projects in Germany, Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Through our diverse backgrounds, we at Citizen of the World have seen that national borders often cause more problems than they are worth.
Lets fight for the world, rather than countries.
Each one of us is a ‘Citizen of the World.’
