BENEFITING: UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
ORGANIZER: Team Citizenship & Social
Hey Everyone! During the first week of March, I'll be heading to Washington DC to work with the Office of the Historian in the U.S. House of Representatives. More specifically, I'll be working with UMSI alumna Allison in the Office of Art and Archives. As a current Library and Information Science student, and with a background in a History, this project is a great opportunity to get hands on experience in archives and collection management.
I want to thank of you for visiting this page, and for donating! Every contribution helps!

Citizenship and Social Justice is one of five themes for this year's Alternative Spring Break (ASB) with the University of Michigan's School of Information. ASB is a service oriented trip, dedicated to helping local communities, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Graduate students will travel to Chicago, New York, Washington DC, and Detroit for one week to volunteer their time and efforts, and share their knowledge. Information that students learn in the classroom will be applied to hands-on learning opportunities in various settings, including:
District of Columbia Public Library
Fair Housing Justice Center, NY
U.S. Federal Trade Commission
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
Illinois Legal Aid Online
National Community Tax Coalition
New York City Department of Environmental Protection
