BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
EVENT DATE: Oct 06, 2017
Once again the Employees’ Advisory Committee is sponsoring the annual American Cancer Society Denim Day. This year alone, breast cancer will forever change the lives of more than 232,000 women and their families when they are diagnosed with the disease. The American Cancer Society is committed to saving lives from cancer by providing lifesaving screenings and breast cancer research. City employees can participate in this worthy cause by wearing denim in exchange for a $5.00 donation. By donating, you will receive a pink ribbon sticker, the national symbol for breast cancer awareness. On Thursday, October 5th, wear denim along with the ribbon sticker and you will show your support toward the fight against breast cancer. To join in the effort, purchase a sticker from any of the following employees: Denise Christenson (Mayor's Office), Beau Duits (Engineering), Hillary Neary (HRA), Linda Riski-Lundeen (Public Health). Thank you for your support!
