I need your help to build an Urban Farm at the Oakdale Community Center
The Oakdale Community Center is located in my community's Oakdale Public Housing Development and is managed by City of Dreams, of which I am a volunteer.
Here is what our project needs to become a sustainable resource for this community:
$20 - 2 Plant Sponsorship
Let us tell our children that you are buying her/him two healthy and delicious new plants for their farm!
$50 - 1 Fruit Tree Sponsorship
Let us tell one child that you will be sponsoring their new orchard by purchasing one new fruit tree for their farm!
$200 - Soil Sponsorship
Let us tell the kids that you support their sustained and healthy growth by providing the proper soil nutrients that their farm will need!
$400 - Jr Mentor Sponsorship
Let us tell the one of our developing youth community leaders that you are covering their gardening internship stipend for one month because you see them as the future stewards of their farm!
$1,000 - Irrigation Installation Sponsorship
Let us tell the kids that you are covering all of the expenses for the entire irrigation system at their Farm! In addition, any person donating $1,000 will have their name articistcally installed in the center’s farm!
How can I get involved?

What is City of Dreams?
City of Dreams' youth and teens live in one of the city’s most challenged neighborhoods in San Francisco. They face many negative influences every day, which often leads to dangerous and unproductive activities. In this community, only 1 in 4 will graduate from high school and exposure to gangs, drugs, and violence is the norm.
At City of Dreams, we have proven to change these negative odds through youth development, mentorship, and by offering a safe and supportive community center for our neighborhood youth.
We want to continue to offer our youth and teens opportunities to learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential. Historically, 80% of our operating budget relies solely on the money we raise each year. We are determined to raise at least $10,000 to keep our program operating, and we can only do that WITH YOUR HELP.
All fundraisers are invited to a fun-filled evening of strikes, spares, colorful shoes, food and drinks at our 8th Annual Bowl for the Kids event at Presidio Bowl on August 13th. We will be honoring the life of Marcus Law and celebrating our Junior Mentor President, Bianca, heading off to college this fall, along with celebrating the dedication and hard work of our fundraisers.
