Change Jamaica Through Education
Organized by: Jay Mishra
Many Jamaican students do not have the resources they need to succeed. With more than half of Jamaica’s budget going to paying off the national debt each year, the government cannot adequately fund education. Unable to rely on their government, Jamaican students need our help.
INSERT NAME HERE is an initiative started by a group of high school students in California. Partnered with the Art of Living Foundation, we aim to implement computerized education in schools across the country. With your donations, we will build computer labs with built in education software in Porus Primary and Bethabara Primary School in Manchester Parish.
To some this may seem like a drop in the bucket that is Jamaican education, but there is an opportunity here to create lasting social change. Our project is the testing ground for a nationwide movement currently in the pipeline. If we succeed, the Art of Living Foundation will use their vast resources to fund computer labs and implement computerized education in schools across Jamaica.
We are eager to help Jamaican students, but we need your help. Donate to our project and become the catalyst of social change in Jamaica!
