THE STORY:

3 Years Later: Recovery Help is Still Needed Fund use breakdown: $400 IRS form 1023 use fee (retroactively makes all donations collected here tax-exempt) $6000 Used Box Truck for Relief Supply Transportation $3,000 Proper warehouse space for food, clothing, and equipment donations/publicly-accessible office $5000 Surplus Humvee from "govplanet.com" for amphibious/rapid response operations [incl. proposed conversion to bio-diesel] $1000 Proper personal protection equipment and safety attire Centers for Kindness & Humanity ‌ Sandy responders, a collection of strangers and volunteers turned friends with a common mission, deemed Centers for Kindness & Humanity, seek to expand into a full-time Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Relief organization. Funds we seek will help us to continue efforts to support South Carolina, as well as help us purchase the proper equipment to thrive as a "prepare & respond" charity (as well as becoming a full-fledged 501(c)3) in the Tri-State Area (NY/NJ/CT). Response Command Division Main line: 4-HELP-44437 www.ckhere2help.weebly.com ____________________________________ OUR MISSION - Be proactive in prevention & preparation for all disaster types, including development of new tools, techniques, & technologies - Rapid, effective response to natural and man-made disasters, major storms, outages, and more - Improve quality of life of members, volunteers, and the community through mission-specific projects and programs -Provide scholarships to members pursuing education in fields supporting & furthering our cause (i.e. Emergency Management, Paramedic, Rescue Technician, etc.) - Prevent fraud by providing unbiased documentation of incidents and subsequent damage - Address public concerns regarding overall or specific aspects of collective (all agencies) response to incidents in regards to efficiency, outreach, and collaboration "THE VISION" Provide region-based resources for effective, efficient emergency preparedness and disaster relief by combining proven breakthrough and time-tested techniques with advanced and eco-friendly technologies "Food, water, clothing, shelter, power, light, and recovery assistance fueled by volunteers with a purpose" Service goals: Training - Education (courses for adult populace at "our" facilities) - Community Service - Scholarships - Internships - Volunteer Opportunities
