Claire's Ankle Bank
Organized by: Scott Simon
To promote ComedySportz and CSz Worldwide, Claire Wilcher left her home and possessions (even her dog!) to travel the USA in an RV with the mission of playing in every CSz city. Halfway through the tour, things were going great, until she hit a speed bump.
While passing through Yellowstone National Park, Claire slipped and broke her left lateral malleolus (that's the outside bump on your ankle). The good news is that it doesn't require surgery. The bad news is that she has to wear a boot for the next 6-8 weeks, severely curtailing her mobility and activities (no swimming in gorgeous mountain lakes!)
The worse news is that Claire's health insurance doesn't apply outside her home state of Indiana. Since she's on the road for the next seven weeks, this is a tight spot. To go home to Indiana would prematurely end the tour and incur hefty travel costs.
Because she doesn't need surgery, she can stay on the road, so long as she's having regular followups and X-rays with orthopedists along the way. She'll also need a round of physical therapy when she's done. This is good news, it means that she can stay on the tour and keep the mission alive.
The costs associated with the injury are being paid out of pocket and they’re blowing the tour budget.
Without the support of Claire’s friends and the CSz community, the tour would never have been possible to begin with. Can you help get the tour back on track?
