BENEFITING: Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech
Clarke’s New York campus opened in 1999 and serves children from 0-5 through early intervention, preschool, speech and language, and evaluation services. We offer a unique learning environment designed to maximize each child’s development, while building their self-confidence and preparing them for success beyond Clarke.
Early Intervention Service Provider
Clarke is approved by New York State as an Early Intervention Service Provider and has contracts with New York City (all 5 Boroughs) and Westchester County to provide early intervention services for children and families.
Our Early Intervention Program is funded and regulated by the New York State Department of Health, in New York City, by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and in Westchester County, by the Westchester County Department of Health.
Clarke is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The two story school consists of classrooms and therapy rooms as well as an audiology sound booth and a sensory motor gym. Children enjoy recess and outdoor activities at the beautiful Carl Schurz Park, just one block from the school. Classrooms utilize sound field amplification systems and are designed for the unique acoustical needs of children with hearing loss.
