BENEFITING: Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech
Children who are deaf or hard of hearing are learning to listen and speak at Clarke!
Please help us raise $10,000 to sponsor two children! Together we can enable two children who are deaf or hard of hearing to learn to listen and speak!
At Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, children with hearing loss from birth to age five receive specialized listening and spoken language therapy and education. With access to sound provided by cochlear implants or hearing aids, these children learn to listen and speak. Then they graduate from Clarke and transition to their neighborhood schools by kindergarten.
As the parents of a child with hearing loss, we invite you to join us to make a difference for other children who are deaf or hard of hearing here in New York.
When donating to Clarke, you will really see a return on your investment. The kids at Clarke are learning new communication and kindergarten readiness skills every day. When it’s time, they will be ready to go to school with kids with typical hearing. It is very gratifying and we know through personal experience that its working for kids with hearing loss!
Please join us and donate so we can sponsor two children at Clarke! Sponsoring addresses the $5,000 gap per child per year between the cost for Clarke to provide services and the amount received from the State. With 23 sponsorships already committed, Clarke’s goal is to secure sponsorships for all 100 children served by the school this year.
