Clean and Save the St. Louis Gateway Arch!
Organized by: Marissa Carlton
I am writing to tell you about the sorry state that the St. Louis Gateway Arch is in, and why we should pool our funds to clean it.
Recently, a report was released detailing the amount of stains and graffiti that can be found on the Gateway Arch's surface. While this may seem petty to some, I'd like to remind everyone that the Gateway Arch is a national landmark and is St. Louis' pride and joy. The authorities are not doing anything to clean it up because according to Frank Mares, deputy superintendent from the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, it will be "too expensive" and hence, deemed unnecessary to spend money on.
Let's pool our funds together and donate to the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial so that proper steps can be taken to clean the Gateway Arch before its 50th anniversary.
