BENEFITING: Plant A Seed
Growing up in Cameroon, my village did not have a source of clean water. I suffered constantly from water borne diseases like diarrhea and worst off, worms! At home my mother tried to make sure we were drinking boiled water but at school, no one cared. She tried to do the right thing but we were at school more than we were at home and we drank the dirty water that every other kid at school was drinking.
At Alfred and Sarah Bilingual Academy Sangmelima, South Cameroon- Africa, there are about 171 kids ranging from Elementary to Junior High and approximately 2000 other villagers in need of clean water which this water project will impact greatly. This will eliminate the extra mile or two the students have to walk to get clean water every day after walking a mile or two to school and back. This will also enable the school to have a reliable source of water as they continue to build more classrooms.
We have raised $1,000.00 of the $5,000.00 needed to build this well.
Every one needs to drink clean water. Above all, every child needs to drink clean water when they go to school. Will you help?
