IT HAPPENED TO ALEXA FOUNDATION INC wrote -
Rising 19,340 feet above sea level, Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Everest “because it was there”. This ALEXA Expedition provides our friends and supporters with a unique opportunity to reach personal goals, cross one off their bucket list and most importantly do so while raising much needed funds and awareness for our lifesaving cause. We are only inviting 16 people to climb with us.
How Can You Join Us?
This is our first International Expedition and is being led by long time supporter Wandrian Adventures. Founded by Tom & Stacey Branchini, It Happened to Alexa Foundation honors the courage of their daughter Alexa, who survived a traumatic rape by a stranger who broke into her college dormitory the second week of her freshman year. The only one of its kind in the country, this Lewiston, NY based national foundation provides financial, emotional and advocacy assistance to victims who prosecutes their attackers. Additionally the foundation is dedicated to educational outreach to develop safe dates and personal safety at the high school and college level as well as for special needs population. It Happened to ALEXA Foundation will be celebrating 11 years of successfully supporting hundreds of victims of sexual assault and their families, aiding US citizens in 43 states and 15 foreign countries.
As a member of the ALEXA Expedition you will receive the following for raising $10,000 in the name of “It Happened to ALEXA”

• Your own personal website for online fundraising and fundraising tips
