BENEFITING: RadiatingHope: Advancing Cancer Care Globally
Radiating Hope is a non-profit founded by a radiation oncologist/amateur mountain climber Brandon Fisher. I am very lucky to be apart of his team in Utah and honored to work along side of him daily as a nurse in the fight against cancer. Dr. Fisher decided that the local fight just wasn't enough. Radiating Hope fights cancer all over the world; one climb at a time. I want to join their next expedition and mission trip is to Tanzania in March 2015, but I really need your help! We are headed into Africa to climb in honor of cancer patients all over the world, volunteer and donate our abundance to those less fortunate and educate the community about cures for cancer! Some areas in Africa have no access to treatment like radiation. Cancer is a fatal epidemic there. Donations go to Radiating Hope for the funding of a brand new Cancer Treatment Center in Tanzania! It also helps transports donated radiation equipment to these areas of the world that need our help. In the U.S, there is 1 radiation machine for every 100,000 people. In Africa, the average is 1 machine for every 5 million people! Together we can make a difference! But I have no time to spare. March is just around the corner! Every little bit helps. Pennies make dollars! In addition to your donation, I would be honored to carry a Tibetan Prayer Flag to the summit in honor of your family member that has battled cancer! As if they climbed the mountain themselves.Just include there name with your donation. Your help means much more than you know. I will be climbing in honor of my Grandmother, Emily McCallum, and a dear family friend Mark Arnold.. But I gotta get there first!
