Climbing For ROMP - Pacific Northwest 2015
At 12,326-foot high, Mount Adams is the second highest peak in the Pacific Northwest.
We will meet at the South Climb trail head at 2pm (5,536 feet). Climbing will begin at 3pm to head to Lunch Counter camping area (9,400 ft). Advanced climbers who do not want or feel the need to camp, leave later and join farther up the mountain!
The group will acclimate, start the second leg of climb at 3am, and climb to summit, arriving late morning of July 26th.
This trek is for novice and seasoned climbers alike! General level of fitness and hiking experience necessary; mountaineering experience preferred but not required.
We hope you will join us for an active day of celebrating not only the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act but also those who are in need of prosthetic services throughout the world. For individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthesis.
All individuals attending must register with the 'Register to Climb' link. Bring your friends and climbing gear! We are going to rock this weekend and want you to do it with us.
These are some ways in which your donation can help a patient in need of prosthetic care:
- $25 - Materials for a custom plastic below the knee prosthetic socket
- $50 - Materials for a custom carbon fiber below the knee prosthetic socket
- $75 - Materials for a plastic above knee prosthetic socket
- $100 - Materials for a carbon fiber above the knee prosthetic socket
- $250 - New or replacement silicone liner
- $500 - Full Prosthesis (leg or arm)
- $1000 - High impact foot or knee
*Fundraising is optional, but greatly appreciated! Remember, individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but rather a missing prosthesis. Every dollar counts. Please consider creating an individual fundraising page, which can be automatically created for you during the second step of registration. We will provide everything you need for your campaign, including emails to send and tips for success, and we're more than happy to help throughout the whole process. It's so easy, a ton of fun, and truly makes an impact on many deserving people's lives.
