BENEFITING: MYASTHENIA GRAVIS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA INC
EVENT DATE: Aug 01, 2011
Having had a most fortunate life, it is time to turn my passion toward others less fortunate who experience daily the frustration and weakness of an illness such as Myasthenia Gravis.
By raising funds for the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, I hope to spread the word about this disease and how it affects people of all ages, as well as educate those newly and currently diagnosed with MG about their options as patients and how they can reach out to others for support.
My goal is to thru hike the Colorado Trail (480 miles from Denver to Durango) next summer (2011) with my father as a symbol of:
-the human's ability to persevere through illness
-to raise awareness of Myasthenia Gravis
-the need for education of all people on their health care rights and
-the need for more affordable and available health care for U.S. citizens
Please join me in spreading the word about Myasthenia Gravis. Here's to helping others and exploring the beauty of our wilderness.
