BENEFITING: MCKINLEY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY OF NEW MEXICO
A local animal lover, Mike, witnessed a small dog get hit by a car at a construction site. He immediately went over to see if he could help. Someone assured Mike that the injured dog would be seen by a vet and never saw the dog again until two weeks ago....he had survived injured and on his own for four and half months. Mike and his wife, Amy, rescued the little dog that day and took him to our local veterinarian clinic in Gallup, NM where he received medical care including a leg amputation. Meet Guinness!! This adorable 3-4 year old min pin mix was rescued from the reservation with an injured back leg. He had been dragging it so long the flesh was worn from the top of his paw right down to the bone. His leg was so badly damaged that it could not be saved and had to be amputated. Even with a rough start he is excited about everyday!! Since his surgery he is enjoying life to the fullest sleeping in a warm bed and filling his belly with soft food which he loves!! Even though his injuries have left him with special needs, he is energetic and enjoys going outside to play. Guinness is ready for his second chance at an amazing life that he so deserves!! Though Guinness's happiness is priceless his surgery/neuter/vaccinations/deworming/follow up care is more than the foster parents can cover and we are reaching out for your help!! Please donate whatever you can to help us cover Guinness's vet care... Thank you for caring and helping Guinness.
